Use of Google APIs

Menteey uses Google APIs (Google Calendar API and Google Sign-In) solely to improve the mentoring and scheduling experience. All use of Google data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Google Calendar Data Access

When you connect your Google Account, Menteey accesses your Google Calendar only for the following purposes:

• Reading your free/busy information to determine your real availability for mentoring sessions.
• Creating new calendar events when a mentoring session is booked.
• Reading and updating calendar events created by Menteey in order to synchronize session time, title, and Google Meet link.

What Menteey Does Not Do

• Access or read the contents of any events not created by Menteey.
• Modify or delete any events not created through the platform.
• Access descriptions, guest lists, or locations of non-Menteey events.
• Store your calendar history or share calendar data with third parties.

Data Processed from Menteey-Created Events

Only the following fields of Menteey-created events may be processed:

• Event title
• Start and end time
• Google Meet link

Google Sign-In Data

When signing in with Google, Menteey receives the following data:

• Google account ID
• Full name
• Email address
• Profile picture URL

This data is used solely for authentication, account creation, profile display, and identifying users inside the platform. It is not shared with external parties or used for advertising.

Data You Create on the Menteey Platform

Menteey processes information you create or share within the platform, including messages, comments, mentoring session details, course content, and profile information. This data is used only to support platform features such as messaging, sessions scheduling, learning content, notifications and user profile information.

Private messages exchanged between users are not shared with third parties and are not visible to anyone except the participants.

Mentors retain ownership of the courses, learning materials, and educational content they create on the platform. Menteey does not sell, license, or redistribute mentor-created content outside the platform.

Your Rights and Control

You may revoke Google permissions at any time through your Google Account settings. You may also request account deletion or data removal by contacting us.
